Our Team

Anne-Maree Cole graduated from the University of Qld with honours, in 1982 and in 2014 completed a Masters Degree in Sleep Medicine at the University of Sydney. She has had a long-term interest in Aesthetic Dentistry and in the year 2000 began taking comprehensive post-graduate programs at LVI in the United States, where she has taken more programs than any other dentist in the world and is now a featured instructor. This education has led to a deep and evolving interest in not only aesthetics, but TMD, and sleep. She is a strong believer in getting to the root cause of problems because only by acknowledging and addressing these can we hope break the cycle of destruction.

Dr Matthew Littleton
Co-Founder | Dentist

Matthew graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985, then worked a couple of years in Cairns and Cape York before his oromaxillofacial training in Adelaide. He did his

first implant placement in 1988, and embarked on practice ownership in 1991 in Rockhampton. He completed a Graduate Diploma in Consious Sedation and Pain Control at

the University of Sydney in 1994.

His neuromuscular dentistry journey began in 2000 after spending a day locked in a room with Dr Anne-Maree Cole while both waiting to appear before the Fair Work Commission on behalf of ADAQ, of which Matthew was the president at the time. Approximately 500 hours ofcontinuing education fueled his continued interest and passion in neuromuscular dentistry thereafter.

In 2003, he sponsored and imported the implant planning software Co Diagnostix into Australia, and became a very early adopter of Guided Implant Surgery.

The Rockhampton community was well served by Matthew until he sold his successful practice in 2022 and moved to a grazing property near Crow’s Nest, Qld in 2023.

Lured out of a very short retirement by Anne-Maree in 2023, he joined forces with her and co-founded The Littleton Cole Dental Centre (TLCDC) which will officially open in 2025. This allowed the most experienced neuromuscular dentists in Australia to work together with the aim of continuing to provide a ‘Get Well and Stay Well’ philosophy of dentistry based on neuromuscular principles, while maintaining a semblance of a work/life balance.

Outside of dentistry, Matthew is a very small scale cattle producer and a pilot of an aged Piper Cherokee, which he has owned and flown for 20 years.
