All your normal treatment needs including toothaches and emergencies
Everything you would expect from a general dental practice is offered at JSD. Whether it’s a check up and clean, a repair of a broken tooth or having a toothache attended to urgently – we are here to help. See below for more information on the most common general dental treatments.
Dental fillings for chipped teeth and decay
We only use high quality tooth-coloured (white) fillings to treat small to moderate sized cavities formed by tooth decay, or chipped teeth, under local anaesthetic where required that is gentle and effective. Book Now
Crowns
Severly broken, root filled and decayed teeth need reinforcement with ceramic crowns which act as a protective covering that encases the tooth and prevents further breakdown from everyday wear and tear in the long term. We have a conservative approach to preparing your teeth for crowns/veneers to preserve the natural structure of the tooth wherever possible. Book now
Veneers
Veneers are also made of ceramic, and can be used for structural reinforcement and/or cosmetic improvements of aesthetically compromised front teeth, particularly in your smile zone. Your dentist will carefully design with you a bespoke plan to suit your cosmetic needs. Book now

Root Canal Treatment
When teeth get infected at the level of the nerve tissue at the core, a root canal treatment is the alternative option to extracting the tooth entirely. Not all teeth can be treated with a root canal, but if suitable, your dentist will provide local anaesthetic so that you are comfortable during the procedure. After your sessions of root canal treatment, the infected tissues would have been emptied out, disinfected, and filled in with filling material by your dentist so that you may use the tooth without further pain and discomfort and risk of infection spreading elsewhere.
Teeth extractions
Sometimes there is no option other than to remove a broken or infected tooth. Your comfort is our top priority and your dentist will ensure that the offending tooth and surrounding structures are numb during the extraction. Much like when a book is taken off a shelf of many others that collapse then into the space, teeth do this over time. So most spaces left after a tooth extraction needs careful planning to replace, and there are several options available. Book now
Implants
Implants are a fixed on replacement of single or multiple teeth that are missing, that do not rely on neighbouring teeth to be secured. This is because your body accepts it into the bone which helps to preserve the volume of bone around the previously lost natural tooth. When a crown is placed on top of it, it is now ready to use as you once did your natural tooth. Book now
Bridge
A ceramic tooth can replace a missing tooth by fixing onto the neighbouring teeth. This bridge treatment does not require inserting anything into the bone and can superficially restore missing teeth by utilising its neighbours. Book now
