  • How long does it take to get an appointment with Dr Anne-Maree Cole?

    Appointments with Anne-Maree are in high demand, if we are fully scheduled and your appointment has been scheduled for a few weeks’ out we offer you to go on our waiting list and will call you to move your appointment forward if there are any changes in schedule.

  • Do I need a referral to see Anne-Maree or Susan?

    Although 85% of people who come to see us are on referral by their Sleep Physician, ENT, GP, Physio or another dentist, it is not necessary to have a referral to make an appointment to see us. Just give us a call on 3257 1577 and we would be happy to arrange a suitable appointment time for you.

  • Can I refer my friends and family to James Street Dentists?

    Yes and we are very grateful for your trust and recommendation. As of April 2016, we introduced an initiative to thank you for your referrals. We now offer all patients $100 credit towards current or future dentistry for every patient they refer that becomes a patient at James Street Dentists. This is automatically applied to your account and you can even transfer it to a family member if you wish. There is no limit to the number of credits you receive, so make sure you tell your friends to mention your name when the book their first appointment! Thanks again!

  • I suffer from headaches, migraines, jaw pain etc, can you help me?

    The best place to start is with our comprehensive Neuromuscular Consultation. This is a 1.5 hour visit where Anne-Maree or Susan are dedicated to listening to your story, examining you clinically and reviewing your jaw movements and muscle activity using our BioPak Evaluation software. From this consultation, Anne-Maree or Susan will speak to you about their findings and talk to you about your options for care. There are lots of different things we can do to help so you don’t have to suffer like you are now. Call us on 3257 1577.

  • I have had a sleep study but don't wear my CPAP, can you help me?

    As you know, untreated Obstructive Sleep Apnoea can have very serious medical consequences. Anne-Maree has a Masters Degree in Sleep Medicine and is dedicated to raising awareness for people who are not being treated for their sleep apnoea. Dr Susan Gibbs has worked for and been trained by Anne-Maree for over 20 years. We do not compromise and provide expert care in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnoea, using oral appliance therapy. As with everything we do, our approach to treatment is to support your physiology at a balanced jaw position.

  • I hate my smile, what's the first step to finding a solution?

    The best way is to have a consultation with Anne-Maree to determine what your options are. There are many different ways of going about treatment and we will always listen to your concerns and provide you with a plan that you feel comfortable with. We love being able to give you back the confidence to smile, laugh and have your photo taken!

  • I don't like my dentures or I have lots of teeth that are failing, can you help me?

  • Can Anne-Maree see my children for their dental and orthodontic needs?

    We’d love to. There are many important habits that children should be doing as they develop to prevent problems down the track. Seeing children and intervening while they are still young is such an important part of what we do.

  • You seem to do a lot of complex dentistry, is it possible to come to James Street Dentists for my general dental care?

    Absolutely! Dr Susan Gibbs, who has worked with Anne-Maree for 20 years is here to take care of all your dental needs. We also have our hygienist here 3 days a week so a professional clean and check up by Susan is the best way to start if you are due or if it’s been a while since you’ve been to the dentist. As well as general dental, Susan is also very experienced in the treatment of sleep apnoea/snoring, neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry.

  • It's hard to get a park around Fortitude Valley, where can I park?

    For your convenience, we have onsite parking at the front of our building for our patients.
